Back to the Cape

Tomorrow, I fly to Cape Cod with my mom for a week (actually, 8 days). I am very much looking forward to this trip. I grew up on the Cape. Went to high school there. But I haven't been back there - especially for this length of time - for a very long time.

Somewhat bittersweet trip, as my mom is ill (cancer) and this will probably be her last trip back there (perhaps I am being too negative, but I am also a realist). I will get to visit with family: my aunt and uncle, my brother and his wife, my two nephews, and my father-in-law (with whom I am planning a day trip to Fox Woods casino!). So should be lots of fun.

I have also decided to take a day to try to visit all the places I lived growing up. There are quite a few! But if successful, I will have stories and pictures to post. Until then...
